Why use Kiah Home

Thank you for stopping by and giving the time to read my first journal as Kiah Home.

For anyone that doesn’t know me yet, you may ask how I can style, organise and cleanse your home better than the next person or even yourself.

Firstly, I am Diploma qualified interior decorator. I studied for two years full time to learn about function and form, colour, layouts (and drafting floor plans), materials and which ones to use where. I do believe you need a natural eye for style and colour. Design and style is subjective and what I may love, may not be to everyone’s taste. Through study, I learnt how to read a client’s brief and turn it into a design that suits that client. I will always have my stamp of flavour because the design is coming from me, however, it is translated to suit the brief.

When it comes to organising, I am not relaxed unless things are in place and in order. Working as an executive assistant really was the basis for this. As an EA you need to be on top of everything – super organised, super on top of what’s going on and to be a good EA you need to know where things are.

I believe in “energy force”. When you walk in to a space, there is a vibe. I can encourage a positive feel to a space by changing the layout and décor, adding some special little touches and even sage smoking, using crystals, essential oils and salt lamps. A simple solution is placing a vase of colourful flowers will make your space a happy one.
