~ Hello ~ I’m Deb, the founder of Kiah Home. I believe in looking at a home holistically. Along with the layout, colours, materials, the natural light and air flow all contribute to the home’s vibe.
I can help you create a space that is not only functional and peaceful but also a ‘beautiful place’ (the indigenous meaning of “Kiah”).
I am passionate about inspiring others to live a relaxed life through the function and flow of their home and show-casing lovely beautiful things that make a person happy and comfortable in their sanctuary.
A little about who I am in relation to design
- Originally from southern suburbs of Sydney
- Diploma of Interior Design & Decoration from Enmore Design Centre (2000) which was a two year full time course. Achieved a finalist status for the Australian Interior Design Awards for a Home Interior Decoration Project “Dolci”
- Ran my own business for 12 years as a residential and commercial stylist
- I have worked as a corporate executive assistant. If you’ve met an EA – guaranteed they are organised and have an itinerary sorted for just about everything
- I am a little crazy about organising and ensuring purpose and functionality
- I LOVE beautiful things
- I wind down with infrared yoga… On a Friday night with a glass of bubbles
- Going for a swim in the ocean
- Continuously evolving and keeping open minded
- Cuddles with my two fur babies, Fleur & Ollie
- Travelling is my happy place. Being free and seeing ancient architecture, eating and drinking at far-a-way cafes; meeting people from multi-cultural backgrounds – see link below for my travel blog
